Television
Television is an amazing machine which people can communicate ideas to other people from different places. This media is changing our world every day. So, I have chosen the communication channel to write about it because this technology is very important in our lives.
Television history came into being bused on the inventions and and discoveries of many scientists, but Ferdinand Braun was the first one who invented the television. The first generation of television sets were not entirely electronic. The TV screen had asmall motor with a spinning disc and a neon lamp, which worked together to give a blurry reddish orange picture about half the size of a business card. The period before 1935 is called the "Mechanical Television Era". This type of television is not compatible with today's fully_ electronic television system.
Now adays, we have many modern mechanical televisions which have the largest screen size, best quality, have brighter color and the highest cost, such as plasma TV. So, I think the mechanical television has developed and developed every day.
Oman TV is the national television channel broadcaster in Oman. The channel began broadcasting form the city of Muscat on 17 November 1974 and from Salalah on 25 November 1975. Since 1997, Oman TV has broadcast its programmes through it's website. At present, Oman TV broadcasts its programmes around the world via or nationally through the following satellites: Arabsat 2A, Arabsat 3A, Arabsat 2B, Nilesat 101, Hot Bird 4 and Optus B3. Also, many of the films and serials produced by Oman TV have won prizes at international festivals in, for example, Bahrain and Egypt in 1999 and 2000 respectively. Most of Oman TVs personal are highly trained Omanis as the highest priority is given to their training both in country and abroad.
